1. WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A BOSS BABE AND LAUNCH GODDESS LENSES?

Since I was young, I’ve always looked up to independent women who have made a name for themselves. I knew that one day I wanted to be that woman too, I just didn’t know how. I have always been a lover of cosmetic contact lenses & always on the look out for the latest brand, however never found one that was unique & natural to pass for real so I thought “why do I keep searching for something that may not be there, why don’t I create it myself & strive to watch it grow?” & that line, was all I needed to get me on my journey into researching, trial & error & pretty much taking the leap of faith into pursing my passion for both beauty & history in a single brand. I wanted to make my name known so I can too inspire young girls with dreams to later grow & become women with vision.

2. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST BOSS BABE INSPO AND WHY?

My biggest boss babe inspiration would be Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty. She inspires me daily with her journey and how she started from nothing & grew into something huge, to the point where she’s taken over WORLDWIDE! I’ve always admired women who are not afraid to put themselves out there and strive to succeed by putting in 100% into showcasing themselves on a brand/business etc. Not only has she built herself and made herself successful, she has remained humble on all social media platforms & continues to support & encourage other girls working hard to bring their name out there also. I am all about helping girls who have a dream they would like to turn into reality, I believe female empowerment is a concept we need to take seriously in order to support & uplift one another because that is what every woman with a hunger & drive for success deserves.

3. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE TO DATE AND HOW DID YOU OVERCOME IT?

My biggest challenge to date has been trying to be at multiple places at once, whether its mentally or physically. Besides my brand of Goddess Lenses, I am also a full-time University Student studying Psychology & work as an independent ABA Autism Therapist treating children diagnosed with Autism aged 2-10. Moving between study, to sessions with children suffering from mental illnesses to coming home & continuing to work on Goddess Lenses with orders, inquiries, networking, stocktake etc. it takes a toll on you and forces you to reach breaking point as you play so many different roles in a single day. But then, when you receive incredible feedback & admiration from customers & other females seeing your hard work; it reminds you why you started out on your own in the first place & why you continue to do what you do everyday with passion. So, I would say, my biggest challenge is trying to push through all the other demands that life throws our way with positivity & determination to say “I can do this, I am going to do this for me” without ever giving up on my dream.

4. WHAT MOTIVATES YOU DAILY?

The future. The future motivates me daily. When putting together my line of lenses there was no doubt, I wanted to apply education & female empowerment behind it (kind of like brains & beauty). My love for Ancient History was the first concept that came to my mind & that’s how I went about naming my brand ‘Goddess Lenses’ where each shade represents a Goddess/Culture from all around the world. I want girls to not just see my brand as beauty & cosmetic, I want them to see that each lens is named after a female whose name still exists until today, a female who has made herself that known throughout history that we remember them centuries later. My main goal & motivation is that I want to be remembered as Goddess Lenses & I want my brand to inspire girls to leave an impression everywhere they go with not just for their beauty but for their desire for power through knowledge, just as the Ancient Goddesses are remembered.

5.WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN WHO INSPIRE TO BE A BOSS BABE AND START THEIR OWN VENTURE/BUSINESS?

If it keeps you up at night, if you look at something & hear a voice in your head saying “That can be me, I can do that”, then honey get that pen & paper ready & start your research because you’ve found your fire & ultimate passion. Never doubt yourself, never fear that it’s not going to work out, & most importantly; never feel as though you are alone because YOU ARE NOT. There are women that will you will cross paths with that will support you to achieve your goals along the way. Do your research, inspect the market, trial your product/business, & be prepared to overcome a lot of barriers with strength & determination to rise after any fall you may encounter. One crucial piece of advice, KNOW yourself, BELIEVE in yourself & PUSH your potential. Do not let things, big or small stop you from seeing your vision come to life, keep striving to be the best version of yourself that you can be in order to watch your vision blossom & grow before your very own eyes. GET THAT HUSTLE GIRL, SKY IS NOT THE LIMIT FOR US LADIES!!
