1. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST AND INFLUENCER TO YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN WORLD WIDE?
My journey with makeup started with myself when I was about 8 years old. I used to do dancing when I was growing up, and as part of that, we would have to do our own makeup for our Eisteddfod’s. I loved that I could be whoever I wanted to be, it was another creative outlet and form of expression. Growing up into my teens, it became a self esteem thing. Not that I would rely on makeup to feel pretty, but I loved how I felt after I’d apply my makeup. I’m now lucky enough to be able to do this day in and day out for every other woman. I like to help people, empower women to look and feel their best. I try my best to be a role model for younger girls to accept themselves and love themselves for who they are and how they want to be. It’s been a dream!
2. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE TO DATE AND HOW DID YOU OVER COME IT?
This is a topic I don’t really speak about much on social media, but it has absolutely shaped me as a woman and as the person I am today. I lost my mum to her battle against cancer 9 years ago. I was 18 and about to do my HSC trial exams when she passed away. It was torture to say the least. I begged my Dad to not go back to school but he gave me the strength and courage to do it for myself and to prove how strong I am. It’s definitely been the biggest challenge yet, and I’m glad I stuck to my word to finish school.
3. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST BOSS BABE INSPIRATION IN THE INDUSTRY ?
I have to say Natalie Anne. She embodies her philosophy and her work ethic is like no other. I honestly take my hat off to her, she has worked so damn hard to build her incredible empire with such an amazing team behind her.
4. WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL?
There are many, but my ultimate goal would be to work as a celebrity makeup artist, and to be known worldwide as a top bridal makeup artist. My passion for weddings is like no other, I absolutely adore being part of a woman’s wedding day and making her look and feel like a goddess
5.WHAT IS THE BEST ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG GIRLS WHO ASPIRE TO BE JUST LIKE YOU BUT DON'T THINK THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO PURSUE A CAREER IN MAKE UP?
Throw away any doubt you have of not being enough, not being good enough or not having the skills or knowledge. You are enough, you are good enough and you can grow and build yourself up to have all the skills and knowledge you need. Don’t give up, don’t settle. It’s hard work but if you love it, you will do anything to get it. Remember, you are offering a service; it’s the experience that people come back to you. You could be the most amazing artist but not have anything else to bring to the table, you want people to leave you feeling better than what they did when they arrived. The energy and how you make people feel is what sets you apart from everyone else..YOU are the difference. The last bit of advice is to never stop learning and growing your skill set, it’s a creative process and you can learn so much from other people!
