1. WHEN DID YOU DECIDE YOU WANTED TO BECOME A POSITIVE INFLUENCE FOR GIRLS ALL AROUND THE WORLD?

Just before the new year I was reflecting and setting my resolutions for 2019 and I had an earth-shattering epiphany. My last 15 years of resolutions had been weight related. It got me thinking about how many years I had spent depressed and anxious as a young woman and I wanted to rewrite the narrative around bigger bodies and hopefully save young girls in the future from the pain and low self esteem I experienced growing up. My biggest goal in sharing my story is to help young girls who do not fit within dominant beauty standards to love themselves and gain confidence.

2. YOUR BODY IS BANGING GIRL! WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 TIPS TO STAYING CONFIDENT?

Thank you girl! My top three tips would be as follows

1. Stop comparing yourself to women who are built differently to you; some people are naturally thin, that doesn’t mean they’re better than you!

2. Positive self talk is key... if you wouldn’t say it about a friend don’t say it about yourself

3. Forget your outside appearance... you’re so much more than that. Focus on what you like about yourself, not what you dislike.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA CAN SOMETIMES BE A DARK PLACE. HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH NEGATIVE COMMENTS OR OPINIONS WITH THE WORK THAT YOU DO?

I think at my age I’m ok with the fact that I won’t please everyone with my message. I am so passionate about what I’m doing and the good it can achieve. I don’t engage negativity I just delete, block and continue my day as a boss-ass Queen.

4. WHO IS YOUR BIGGEST BOSS BABE INSPO AND WHY?

I honestly draw inspiration from every woman I meet and encounter in my every day life. Women are so powerful and resilient. You all amaze me, we’re badasses. But I draw huge inspiration from Queen Latifah and Serena Williams. They both have overcome huge racism and sexism to dominate their respective industries and they have stayed true to themselves whilst doing it. They don’t fit the mould and they just keep kicking ass and I love that. They’re also thick women and so, so beautiful and confident!

5.WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN WHO ARE STRUGGLING TO LOVE THE SKIN THEY'RE IN?

It is ok to struggle and have days where you wish you looked differently. But, honestly, you’re on this earth to do more than just lose weight and look good. You’re so worthy of love, happiness and confidence RIGHT NOW. Do not waste you life WAITING for perfection because you will never find it. Perfect is a mindset and if you work on your mindset, happiness and confidence will come. When you’re an old woman, you want to be able to say you lived life in the moment every day, not that you didn’t eat carbs for 40 years and had a flat tummy. Love yourself and be kind to others. You have got this girls!
